I have a circa 1965 Tappan Fabulous 400 for sale. The sensing burner doesn't work(not sure if it's wiring or the burner). One element in the small oven doesn't work (I think the bottom, so it's still a good broiler). The big oven works great, right on temperature wise.
I have a carpenter who will build a crate on a palate around the unit. He said he'll do it for $35. So, make an offer, add the $35, and arrange and pay for shipping to wherever you are. If interested, please reply to this message.

You may not sell your items here. www.ebay.com is your best bet. To encourage a sale for your item, list it so it can be picked up. To be honest with you nobody is going to pay the $35.00 handling and the high shipping cost.
My wife and I also own a Tappan Fabulous 400 (model BC-40A Lot 1 -- model number is on a label on the rear wall of the right-hand storage), and its small oven baking element also burned out this week. After much searching I found the part from another company: Chromalux CH813.
I'd love to find a schematic for this range, though. Does anyone have one?

I would love to see pictures of your tappan since I don't know the model number of mine, the tag was removed.
