Chest Freezer in a Garage

I have a 12 year old chest freezer that is still a good condition. Question is I would like take it out of my basement and put it in the garage.

Would there be any problems doing this. The temp in there here parts of Northern Alberta Canada can get at low at -40 c in the winter (outside temp not garage!!) my garage is not heated?

Our freezer is older than this and is a chest type,and has always been in a unheated garage it's whole life with no problems what so ever,so I would say go ahead and don't worry about it.

Oh,I live in Northern part of MN and it gets to -40 below here too.Never no problems even when it hits 100 in the summer it never fails to keep everything frozen and motor runs fine,age of ours is well I got it from my parents and I was 8 so it is 25 years old.
