** for some reason it is not going through the final spin cycle... When the lid is shut during the final spin cycle the washer hums but nothing happens. **

The *motor* hums?

Only on the *final* spin? It will spin at other times during a wash like during a rinse cycle??

** I have been looking for manuals and such online with no success. **

What kind of "manuals"?

A owner's manual may be able to be downloaded from the GE web site but they don't usually contain repair information besides the most basic things (eg. is the machine plugged in, etc.). You're unlikely to find any kind of *service* manual for it on-line.

maching wasn't spin drying just stopped with some water in bottom and hummed I opened the elcetronics area and found a wireing digram I opened the machine and ran the diagonast test listed and found the pump was the problem not the transmission or cluch disconedted the pump make sure it is unpluged from wall outlet during this job unhooked hoses and electric and cleaned out a ton of sand and durt reinstalled and the machine works great. the testing runs through each mode of hot cold water input, spin slow spin high and pump. it can't spin if pump won't pump it stops the spinner problbly for protection to the motor from water weight, most of the water must be out or it cant spin and if the pump does't come on it thinks water is still there write me back if this works by the way I cancelled ge repair and saved the servic call and time charge total cost of repair by me 0 i got a little wet but did clean out the dirt behing the machine for the first time in 5 years the age of the machine
