Purchased about 3 years ago. New issue: The control panel beeps and comes back on after the cycle is complete, otherwise everything seems fine. Is this a problem?

The washer starts up on it's own without you pushing the start button....-sounds- like a problem ;)

I think the OP is saying that *while washing* the control panel blanks out but comes back on after the load is finished? I guess the washer does it's business fine otherwise.

If that's the case, I would think there may be a problem in the display board or possibly it is getting electrical interference. Check your warranty as it (the part) may be covered for an extended period of time like 2-5 years from date of purchase. You may however still have to pay the labour and service call to have it replaced if it is out of the original labour warranty.

I took it as the washer load is done....but then starts a -new- cycle on it's own.

Stuck/sticking key panal??

Definetly, the MAH5500B, 6500 and 7500 -should- have a 5 year parts only warranty on the control and key panal.

The problem was that the control panel came back on after the cycle was complete, not that it went off during the cycle. No help from the manual, so I unplugged it for a few days. (The beeping was bothersome and didn't want to take chances with an electrical problem.) Got back to it this weekend. I made sure it was level, and plugged it in. I think it had moved itself out of level, and that must of caused the problem. Sensative machine. So far, so good.
