Hi,

**Kenmore electric range model # 935918**

Above is not a model#...might be a sales # or # off of a manual, Kenmore model#'s are more like 123.45678910 or 123 45678910

http://www.applianceaid.com/model.html

Some model# helps.

**F-1 fault came up on the digital display**

Often means a problem with the electronic control, but may also depend on what manufacture made your Kenmore range.

** Kenmore electric range model # 935918 **

The closest model number I found was 911.9359180 or 911.9359181. Did you get it right off the appliance's model and serial number tag??

You can find tip for locating the model and serial number tag *on your appliances* in the 'Repair Parts' section of my site linked below.

** F-1 fault came up on the digital display ... what does this mean? **

If either of the model numbers I posted above are correct, F1 usually indicates a problem in the electronic control as Jeff said.

If unplugging the unit and plugging it back in again doesn't help, the electronic control may need to be replaced. Unfortunately, the one used on the above models (# 339486) looks to have been discontinued in which case you'd have to try to see if someone can repair the original (only a slim chance of that I'm afraid).

I don't know about "wearing out" but you might want to keep an eye on the control and maybe just look around at replacements for when/if the day arrives that the control finally craps out altogether. I don't think a replacement is immediately necessary though, until that day arives.
