Kenmore Dryer Electric 80 Series.

Dryer will only start after moving the timer switch clockwise repeatedly, then it will eventually start at the 30 minute mark (5 O'Clock). The heat works fine but the dyer will only run for a few minutes and then stops. Please advise on how to repair and/or what needs to be replaced. Thank you!

Some model# helps.

**Dryer will only start after moving the timer switch clockwise repeatedly, then it will eventually start at the 30 minute mark (5 O'Clock).**

You have to wiggle/jiggle/manipulate the timer knob to certains spots to get the dryer to run, very possible the timer is bad and needs to be replaced.

Will the dryer start back up again right away?

Hello Jeff,

The dryer will start again after moving the timer switch knob back around and adjusting the switch a few more times.

G'day,

If the dryer can start up right away again the motor shouldn't be over heating as that would need cooling down time before it would attempt to start again. Does -sound- more and more like a wishy/washy timer or start switch.
