Help!!!

Recently purchased a Kenmore washer (Model 44052). Don't know what I did but now it won't start. I tried unplugging it several times, but each time I plugged it back in the lights will be on the same setting:

'Start' Button: Blinking

'Door Locked' Button: Not lit up

'Add Garment'Button: Lit up

'Washing'Button: Lit up

'Final Spin' Button: Lit up

'Control Lock' Symbol: Lit up

Please help. I even emailed *****.com for tech support. They wrote back to apologize bec. they don't have one. I also got panicky when I couldn't start the machine. I must have pressed all the buttons several times and really can't remember what else I might have done...

Thanks to all who will read and respond to this.

** Kenmore washer (Model 44052) **

That is not a complete model number, did you get it right off the appliance's model and serial number tag? That is the only reliable place it will be found.

** Recently purchased a Kenmore washer **

If it is less than a year old it should be covered by warranty in which case you should call for service. I can only think there must be a problem in it if even unplugging it does reset the controls.

Thank you for the quick reply. I got the model no. from the pamphlet. The complete no. is 417.44052400.

Anyway, my husband did call for home service as per your advise.

Thanks again.

** The complete no. is 417.44052400 **

That would make it a Frigidaire built machine.

** my husband did call for home service as per your advise. **

That is a good idea. Being that it is brand new, it may just be a loose connection which occurred during shipment. I can't think of anything you could have done to cause the reported symptoms.

If you get a chance, please let us know what it turns out to be.

** I can't seem to find the shipping pins. **

There are shipping braces behind the lower access panel which have to be removed and shipping bolts in the back. All should be colored yellow.

It should state exactly what needs to be done in the installation instructions or owner's manual which can with the product.

JFYI

Hi, I just purchased a house and moved in. It also has this same washing machine and a matching dryer (stacked). Have used the washer once and is leaked bad. Approx. a quart or more of water on the floor. Checked all the hoses (hot and cold water and the discharge hose). They were all dry as the water kept coming from under the washer. What could be causing this. The appliances have a 11/04 build date...........

Thanks

Any part of the machine that carries water. Have you tried looking at it while in use to try to see where it is coming from?

Are you sure it's coming from the machine and it's not maybe the plumbing drain backing up or leaking??

Our machine was leaking out of the front door the seal was bad and a repair man came out to fix before warranty was over. Look very closely.
