Is it possible to convert a Kenmore portable dishwasher to a built-in model. Is it as simple as direct wiring and hard plumbing? Are there any problems that can arise?

** Is it possible to convert a Kenmore portable dishwasher to a built-in model. **

Probably, depending on the exact model number of Kenmore dishwasher in question.

** Is it as simple as direct wiring and hard plumbing? **

There is usually more to it than that (...depending on the model) but it might be possible to get away with just that.

** Are there any problems that can arise? **

If it is not installed according to code (whatever they may be); potential problems may include failure to pass a home inspection, an insurance company may be able to disallow any claim which resulted from a failure of the installation, maybe safety hazards as well depending on how it was accomplished.

Sorry, I had the brand wrong. It's actually a GE Potscrubber 720.

That still isn't the model number.

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number tag on your appliances at the following link. That is the only reliable place the complete model number of the dishwasher will be found.

- Model Number Tag Search

Sorry, I looked up the wrong model.

I'm pretty sure their is a conversion kit for your model but I can't find its part number.

You'll either need to see if it is listed in the dishwasher's owners or installation manual or contact GE them self or a GE parts supplier like the company at the following link so they can call GE and ask which one it takes.

- Contact about GE Appliance Parts

BTW. Your model may actually be listed as GSC720Y06WH. (GE sometimes adds an extra "0" into them for some unknown reason.)
