This is a Model 790 46803 992 which was made by WCI in 2000 whoever that is. I think I need to replace the ERC or EOC from researching the other manufacturers for *****, but I can't find WCI anyplace. How do I get to it and what's the best place to buy it on line? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Carl

** This is a Model 790 46803 992 which was made by WCI in 2000 whoever that is. **

WCI is the previous owner of the Frigidaire brand which is whom made your range model for S ears.

You can read about whom makes other Kenmore major appliance models at this link:

** I think I need to replace the ERC or EOC **

F1 on your make of range does most often indicate a problem in the unit's electronic control/clock asm. but can sometimes be caused by a defective or intermittent oven temperature sensor (see the following links).

Unfortunately, the sensor would have to be tested *at time of failure* to determine if it was the cause or not. If that only occurred when the oven was in use, that might be difficult to safely do. Sometimes is is easier to just replace the sensor first to see if the error subsides or not. If not, than the control is likely the cause and probably needs to be replaced.

BTW. The most common oven sensors in use should usually read in the area of 1100 ohms when at room temperature.

JFYI
