Have you tried removing the agitator to eliminate it as a trouble mkaers and tried the spin cycle?

The model # is 110.28922791. There's also a grinding sound during the spin cycle. Have not removed the agitator yet.

Check the motor coupler and drive block as a couple of common trouble makers.
