We have a KitchenAid Superba gas oven - it's digital and came w/ the house, but there is no user manual. Whenever we turn on the oven (it's a convection oven as well) and try to set a temperature, it gives us an error message - it will only heat up to 260 degrees, so it says. However, it has to much hotter than that because it burns EVERYTHING! Can anyone help?

Model#?
http://www.applianceaid.com/model.html Some model# helps.
**it gives us an error message**
Which is......??
**it will only heat up to 260 degrees**
Might be set for ºC instead of ºF. 260ºC is approx 550ºF.
** but there is no user manual**
One might be available....

I've never heard of such a failure display, most fault coded are like "F1", F2", "F3" or sometimes "E1-F2", "E3-F1".
I suspect that an internal fault in the control may be responsible. If unplugging the range for several minutes doesn't reset the condition, the electronic control may be defective and need to be replaced. :(

Jeff:
That worked - the book you showed me told how to get it to change, and that was the problem. So, we think that fixed it - thanks so much for ALL your help!
