Kenmore Heavy Duty 80 Series Washer Model 92580100 Serial CD3885474 - can anyone tell me the approximate age of this machine?

The machine starts up fine, fills and then agitates forever. The timer doesn't seem to move through the cycles. Do I need a new timer for this unit or could it be something else? The timer is about $100. and depending on the age of the machine, I'm not sure it is worth it. Is there typically another component that gets replaces when the timer is replaced? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,

**92580100**

Model# is likely 110.92580100

**The machine starts up fine, fills and then agitates forever. The timer doesn't seem to move through the cycles.**

Certainly -sounds- like a timer problem....power to the timer motor ( 2 small black wires ) and no movement/advancing = timer problem.
