I have a 6 year old Whirlpool Super Capacity 465 propane gas stove. I made the mistake of hanging my kitchen towel on the door handle and I believe that is what has caused this problem.

Whenever you go near the stove or touch it, the interior oven light clicks on and off very rapidly.

Help! Does anyone know how to stop this problem? If I turn the light on, it does not do this.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks for writing!

Yes, I see that the light switch is at the top right corner of where the oven door closes.

I don't know the model number though. I cant see one readily available. It just says Accubake.

Thank you!

** I see that the light switch is at the top right corner of where the oven door closes. **

Either that switch has loose internal contacts, loose wiring leading to it or possibly the door isn't closing against it properly. Maybe caused by 'weak' door springs, worn door hinges or 'stiff' door seal?

It won't be printed in plain view on the face of the appliance. You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link.

- Model Number Tag Search

Posting that is the only way for us to determine what design of appliance you have, marketing names don't help. It's also the only way to get replacement parts... if any are needed.
