I own a magtag neptune washer model mah4000awq (a big mistake) the resistor r-11 in the electronic control panel is burnt cannot get help from Maytag Co.. The 2 Cent resistor is next to a blue retanglar (capactor) on the control panel. Would greatly appreciate anyones help if they own this model and could give me the colors on that resistor. Thanks Tilou

R11 = 3.9K Ohms

But it is usually more than just that resistor that is bad.

Wax motor in the door lock mechanism usually shorts and causes the R11 and Q6 on the machine control board to let go.

As Jeff said, there is usually more wrong than just that. :(

I did just recently see a 'repair kit' with instructions on CD for that problem. If you wanted to try and repair the board before replacing it with a new one, you can find the kit at the following link.

I myself suggest you do the job as Maytag (and Jeff) suggests, replacing the whole board (and door lock wax motor).
