Hey all. . .

Recently, I noticed that clothing coming out of the dryer has a charcoal or smoky odor to it. What would cause this? What can I do to eliminate the problem?

Thanks,

Kelly

** What would cause this? **

Something (lint, dust, wires, components, etc.) burning in the dryer. If it is a gas dryer, paint or cleaning fumes being burned in the dryer's burner.

** What can I do to eliminate the problem? **

Find the cause and correct it.

I would *strongly* suggest you disconnect power from the appliance and discontinue use until the cause can be found and corrected.
