What would cause a brand new (1 day) electric clothes dryer (Maytag) to shut off after 15 minutes and then not be able to be started again for almost an hour? We thought it was a faulty dryer, took it back and exchanged it, but have the exact same problem with the next one. We have replaced the vent with a rigid metal vent and even ran it with the vent off. Could it be a problem with the electrical outlet? It does not trip the circuit breaker.
