I have a Kenmore washer 110.23832100, the washer worked fine before a moving company moved us from SC to KS. Now at the end of the spin it makes a heck of a noise when it is stopping. Does this sound like something I can correct? Did something happen to it in the move? Please help. Thank you, Louis

- Kenmore Washer 110 problems
Hi,
**Now at the end of the spin it makes a heck of a noise when it is stopping**
Since we cannot hear the noise for ourselves we will be guessing.
Hopefully the moving company used the shipping braces on the washer...maybe they have not been removed?
The shipping braces look like nails.

Hopefully the washer was not layed down during the moved...but we normally see more vibration problem if it was.

Coincidence it happened after the move maybe...the brake is something that engages to stop the spinning when the cycle is over. The brake -may- sometimes grab too quickly and the inner baskets jump and crash into the cabinet and make a bang noise.

G'day,
Is the inner wash tub loose at all....under the agitator is the tub nut and drive block....if the nut was loose the wash basket may move/wobble around making the noise.

Hi,
Couldn't be as simple as the fabric softener hose, wire harness or water level control hose slaping the cabinet?
If not...we are starting to get into the mechanical stuff like brake, basket drive, etc :(

Found this ( yours right? ) in another forum....
** I checked that nut you were talking about and its tight, if I start the spin and then stop it holding the inner tub it does not make the noise. I guess I will call someone to come look at it.....it's just strange that before I moved it worked great, 5 days later when it was delivered it's making that noise, also I looked under it and there are 3 or 4 springs hooked up.**
What about something loose on the basket....filter plug, balance ring?
