My Fasar Induction stovetop is not working. The control panel is backlit, but the stovetop will not heat. Any ideas are apreciated on how to fix this system.

I'm afraid I am not at all familiar with the product. Maybe someone else will offer a suggestion or you can try contacting the manufacturer to see if they can provide any trouble shooting tips?

Just have it taken out and replaced with any other kind of gas or conventional electric stove. We went through two or three of these in about 10 or 12 years, and one of them literally blew up and the cupboard door opened as it blew, then slammed shut.

Tiles never get hot -- actually the pan heats the tiles up and can burn them if you have a spill-over. Pan is too small for the burners -- put a ring of aluminum foil around the outside bottom of the pan -- that's why you went with "technology"? Safest kind of stove -- I doubt it! It has LOADS of wires and gizmos, like coils and transformers, which are dangerous if anything goes wrong. Look up at the power lines and see those big cans (transformers) up there. They are there for a reason. When they blow you don't want them in your house. Keep them OUT of your house. Trash the FASAR and send it to a museum.

Could it have burned down the house? We will never know as we have something much safer in place now. It's gas and it cooks with ANY kind of pot.
