After several other rounds of problems with this 1999 vintage machine, we now have a new one to add to the list.
This time it will not spin dry the clothes. It does tumble during the time that it should spin, and the door lock light IS on. So this sounds like a control board problem to me.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!!

MAH3000AWW is the model.
Water drains OK. I just replaced the 40W pump with a 80W unit about a month ago.

Reading this material implies that the problem is in the door switch areas or the control board. Questions:
1. Assuming that I disassemble these parts, can you talk me through the continuity checks? I have a multimeter, but need some help there.
2. Or should I go straight to the control board (remember - the machine tumbles during what shouold be the spin cycle. That to me implies a logic problem).
Thanks again!!!

Pages 3-4 3-5 is good for checking switches.

A phsical inspection of the machine control board is usually always a good idea.

Our problem is the mold buildup on the rubber gasket/seal/whatever when you open the door. We peroidically run the bleach through per the manual and try cleaning by hand (manually), nothing is effective.
We would appreciate any suggestions, we've been lucky so far to have no other problems.

Hi,

An quick and easy way to "Freshen up" the Neptune washer for odors...,
- Add about 1/2 of a cup of powdered dishwasher detergent into the empty wash/spin basket, just pour it inside. Close the door.
- Select the top fabrics button ( Cotton/Sturdy or Whites ) and the Hot/Cold on the wash/rinse switches.
- Rotate the timer dial to Regular cycle/Heavy ( whites ), then press start.
- While the washer us filling with water, pour a cup of liquid bleach into the detergent compartment.
- After 5 minutes, stop the washer and advance the control dial to the first rinse. Press start and wait 10 seconds. Press stop and advance to the 2nd rinse. Press start and wait for 10 seconds. Press stop and advance to the 3rd rinse. Press start and let the washer complete the cycle through the final spin.
- Select the top fabrics button ( cotton/sturdy or whites ) and the hot/cold on the wash/rinse switches. Rotate the timer dial to heavy. Do not use any detergent or bleach. Then press the start button. This will allow the washer to finish a complete cycle void of bleach and detergent. The Freshen up procedure is now completed.
Readers Tip:
The new boot has a drain built into it, this drain should be checked once in a while to make sure it is not getting clogged up or restricted. A pipe cleaner works well to clean/check this out.
