I HAVE A KENMOORE HEAVY DUTY 70 SERIES THAT ALL OF A SUDDEN LAST NIGHT DECIEDED THAT IT WAS NOT GOING TO SPIN ANY MORE. IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS FROM UNDERNEATH BUT THE INSIDE DRUM IS NOT COOPERATING. ALL OF THE WATER DRAINED OUT BUT THE CLOTHES ARE SOAKED BECAUSE THEY HAVN'T BEEN SPUN. I AM ON A VERY LIMITED BUDGET SO IF IT IS FIXABLE I'D LIKE TO TRY MY SELF. THANKS FOR ANY HELP

I'M NOT SURE WHO MADE IT BUT WE BOUGHT IT AT SEARS ABOUT 8-10 YEARS AGO. I DID SOME MORE INVESTIGATING AND REALIZED THAT IT IS NOT AGITATING EITHER. I DO REMEMBER THAT (AT DIFFERENT TIMES) THESE 2 LITTLE SCREWS CAME OUT OF THE BOTTOM OF THE WASHER DRUM. I AM SURE THEY COULD HAVE ATTACHED TO SOMETHING TO CONTROL ALL OF THIS. DO YOU THINK? THANKS PAIGE

** I'M NOT SURE WHO MADE IT **

If you post the machine's model number *from the appliance's model and serial number identification tag* (not words/numbers written on the console), we can find out whom made it and also which washer design you have (they're not all the same).

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link (or the ones Jeff posted previously).

- Model Number Tag Search

** IT IS NOT AGITATING EITHER. **

If whatever model you have is a Whirlpool built 'direct drive' design, that could be caused by a broken motor coupler (see the following link).

- Direct Drive Washer Motor Coupler Replacement

BTW. It is considered bad netiquette (net etiquette) to type in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS when communicating via electronic mediums (email, forums, etc.). All capitals are usually reserved for when you want to YELL AT SOMEONE which I assume wasn't your intent.

JFYI
