Hi i have a performa by maytag, on the spin cycles it spins very slow, i took the drain tube and stuck it in a bucket and about 1 gal. of water came out and it finaly started to spin faster like it should. wife did another load and it did the same thing would not spin very fast until i took drain pipe back down and put it in a bucket.

There is always water inside the washer/pump at the end of the cycle, but if the draining out is too slow or taking too long to occur the spin certainly will be effected.

The washer -normally- will drain out a full load in approx 1&1/2 - 2 minutes.

Restricted drain hose, something between the tanks, bad drain pump, worn belt might be suspects.
