Model #: LSR8433KQ0 (top-loading)
Was cleaning the dial/knob for the washer and moved both the knob and dial quite a bit before realizing that I had no idea what the original position was.
I figured it would be simple enough to remove the knob/dial and realign it, only to discover I have no idea how to do this. Now I have no idea where each cycle starts and ends.
PLEASE if someone could help me figure out how to 1) take the knob/dial off and 2) synch up the dial/machine, that would be great.
THANKS!
NOTE: on other forums, it has been suggested that I hold the dial down and turn the knob counter-clockwise; this does not work, as it seems as if the knob is not "unscrewing" at all, just turning.

- Whirlpool Washer LSR8433KQ0 - Removing Timer Knob
Hi,

Your timer should have a "pull tab" on the back side of the timer that must be pulled out before the knob and dial will come off.

If moved backwards, the timer and/or dial may be broken now. The dial and timer shaft have grooves cut in them ( fat lines and narrow lines ) to line themselves toegther with each other.
