Hello

I have a ge oven model #:JGBC20BEHWH My family cooked a pizza and shut off the oven then about 5min later tried to make another pizza but oven was not lighting. igniter glows but doesn't seem to be getting gas. Made sure shut-off switch in open still nothing. Could this be pressure regulator, safty valve or igniter(which I have changed awhile ago)? Please help!!!

Thanks in advance

Hi,

**JGBC20BEHWH**

I found JGBC20BEH1WH and JGBC20BEH2WH

** igniter glows but doesn't seem to be getting gas. Could this be pressure regulator, safty valve or igniter**

Not normally, yes and yes....weak ignitor is most common.

An amp meter is used to test, if the ignitor is not drawing enough amps, the gas safety valve will not open and we get no gas flow.

Ignitor Assembly used on GE brands gas ovens. Kit includes mounting bracket and wire connector with plug.

It's the JGBC20BEH2WH

To test with an ampmeter whould I just clamp it on one of the wire coming from the igniter with the ingniter on?

Thank for all your help

** To test with an ampmeter would I just clamp it on one of the wire coming from the igniter **

Yes.

** with the igniter on? **

That's the only time current will be flowing through it to be able to tested.

If you have an Adobe Acrobat .PDF file reader browser plugin installed, you can read about testing oven ignitors at the following link:

- Troubleshooting a gas range's oven ignitor

** the model # is JGBC20BEW2WH **

That also uses the ignitor linked to previously.
