My washer will not drain completely during the spin cycle. All the clothes in the bottom of the machine remain soaking wet. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

- GE Profile Prodigy Won't Drain during Spin????
** GE Profile Prodigy [washer] **
I'm afraid that marketing name doesn't help us to know which exact washer you're dealing with. What is needed is its complete *model number* as found on the appliance's model and serial number identification tag.
You can find tips for locating that identification tag on your appliances in the 'Repair Parts' section of my web site linked below.
** will not drain completely during the spin cycle. **
Not draining properly could be caused by an obstruction in the pump or any of the water carrying hoses (both inside and outside) of the machine. It could possibly also be caused by a defective pump.
** All the clothes in the bottom of the machine remain soaking wet. **
The water is removed *from clothing* by the spinning of the washer. If it was not spinning enough, it could be caused by a problem in the washer's clutch, belt or even possibly some stray clothing caught between the tubs hampering its movement.

** MODEL # WPSE4200A0WW. now will not spin with clothes in tub **
Is the motor running at that time?
If the motor IS running, your symptom could be caused by a slipping clutch.
Has most of the water been removed from the machine? A washer will not be able to go into full spin with water still in the tub.
** still original problem as well. **
Did you check the washer's hoses and pump?? You can see the pump used on your model at the following link:

GE Profile Washing machine - Great machine, TERRIBLE FACTORY WARRANTY SERVICE. I have been without a working machine for almost 30 days!! 4 service calls later and GE still cannot fix machine. Parts slow to arrive and must wait for service call after parts have arrived. GE operators and supervisors have a don't care attitude. Last GE product for me!!!
