Model #632.7163891 I used the oven one night and everything was fine, the next day it would not light. The pilot light seems to be out. Could this be a safety valve that needs replaced?

** [Kenmore propane oven] Model # 632.7163891 **

I'm afraid I can find no listing for such a model number and have never seen a Kenmore appliance model number starting with 632... Can you double check it??

** The pilot light seems to be out. **

Is it a pilot ignition model? (see the following link)

We have no way to find out without a traceable model number.

** Could this be a safety valve that needs replaced? **

*IF* it is a pilot ignition model and *IF* the pilot *IS* lit and functioning correctly but the oven burner is not receiving gas, than yes, the safety valve could be the problem.

The safety valve usually has nothing to do with the pilot besides the valve's thermocouple making sure the pilot is lit before releasing gas to the oven burner.
