I have a Maytag PAV2000AWW - the machine does not drain/spin after the normal or delicate wash cycles. The timer continues through agitates in the rinse and then spins/drains after the rinse cycle. My first assumption was the timer had issues after the machine had walked across the floor, but it turned out that it was doing that before. Any ideas?

The timer wouldn't cause it to walk across the floor but it could be responsible for not spinning or draining on certain parts of the cycle.

Since the functions in question will operate on some parts of the cycles, I can't think of the problem being anywhere other than in the timer.

PS. You should probably look into why the machine is moving across the floor. Unstable footing could lead to internal suspension damage of the washer.

made it sound like I thought the timer made it walk. What I meant to say was I thought the vibration from the load getting out of balance (nobody was home) caused so much vibration that it damaged the timer resulting in the timer not sending the proper signal. However, the drain/rinse works in the pre-soak and in the extra rinse cycles

That may be a possibility although I don't think it is very likely. It doesn't really matter how it happened anyway, just that the timer is the most likely culprit IMO and may be the best place to start any further investigation.
