I am looking for a water softener. I have a small household 1 to 4 people. I don't expect to be in this house for a long time so don't want to buy a real expensive water softener. Have been looking at Fleck, Kenmore and GE. Any advise on which one is the best?

I have no experience such units and it is outside my field of expertise, major home appliances (fridge, stoves, washers, dryers, etc.).

If you don't get any other replies here, you might try posting your query in Bob's Plumbing forum as that is what that product is considered rather than a 'appliance' which is what this forum is dedicated to.
