I posted a message on the parts thread but hoped this might also be good. I need a storage drawer for a Tappan electric range fro the mid to late 90's. I hasve the front enameled part and the rails to slid on but during a remodel it sat overnight on a front sidewalk and the drawer part disappeared. Can anyone suggest a place to get one? The model number is MEF300PBWC.

** [Tappan range model MEF300PBWC] the drawer part disappeared. **

Are you sure it had one??

The parts list (see the following link) just lists a "Panel, dummy" where the drawer would normally be. The "dummy" part of the description I would assume means it is just a faux (aka 'fake') drawer front, just meant to *look* like one.

Bottom of the line appliances are often missing features found on upper level models, to keep their prices as low as possible.

I thought it did have and there are marks like screws had been used instead of the peg that I have it on at this time. There are also two pieces that seem to be the rails for it to roll on. If not, do you know of a way to get one which would function even if not maybe the correct item?

Did you ever actually see it or use it??

I don't see anything like that listed in its parts list. It may be possible that they are just *part* of such a system and more would be added on models that included a drawer feature.

You could check with Frigidaire which is whom makes Tappan major appliances although be warned, a "drawer" consists of multiple parts (panels, screws, trims, rollers, clips, tracks, etc.) and is not usually sold as a single piece that can be bought 'off the shelf'. If needed, it would usually have to be assembled from its individual parts... once you purchased them.
