** drum will not turn **

Not even by hand?

** The motor hums **

That should mean it is getting power.

Will the motor run with the belt removed from it?

Is there anything jamming the blower fan attached to the motor?

If nothing is jamming the motor and it will not even run with the belt removed, the motor is very likely defective and needs to be replaced.

Yes the drum turns by hand. I remove the back off of the dryer. Nothing blocking the blower fan. It does not sound like the motor is running, just humming. The blower fan does not move when the motor hums.

How do you get to the belt?

Most service is performed by removing the front panel.

** does not sound like the motor is running, just humming **

No. And if the drum turns freely by hand, it isn't likely stopping the motor from turning so removing the belt and testing is probably unnecessary. I think your problem is likely in the motor itself. :(
