Garbage disposal leaking

There is water leaking out of the bottom of the disposal. It is coming from underneath the flat plate. I was just wondering if it is something serious or do I just a gasket? Any help would be appreciated.

I've never seen an old one recover from leaking......it's time for a new one....

From what I have seen that by the time that water starts dripping out the bottom the insides are too corroded to think about fixing it.

But some GD's have warrantees upto 7 years. So check the nameplate and get the model, serial number and date code and check with the manufacture.

It is about 5 or 6 years old.
