I have a Maytag Neptune: MAH5500BWW.

I am the process of replacing the outer basket bearings.

I popped the bearings out, that was easy. However, when I took the bearing spacer out and cleaned it up, I noticed that one of the ends has tappered edges.

I'm guessing that the tappered end of the spacer should rest against the smaller bearing.

Does anyone know if this is correct?

Also, I am trying to order the seal kit, and it is backordered. Does anyone know how to get one of these kits faster?

Sorry but Maytag only supplies the bearings already installed in the tub so what you're attempting to do is not usually done by a service technician.

Most of the suppliers I checked are also out of them however the one at the following link shows stock in their Charleston, SC branch.
