I have a Sanyo SR4910M midsize fridge (under the bar type) that is running non-stop until it freezes everything. The settings of the thermostat do nothing leading me to believe that the thermostat is shot. The only way to stop it is to unplug it :( At any rate went online looking for a replacement part and can't find anything (all sites list it as unavailable or out of production). Even the local parts guys (who have a reputaion of finding unfindable parts said I was out of luck). I guess my two questions then are 1) does it sound like the thermostat is in fact the problem? 2) where can I order a replacement part?

In my travels through the internet it looks like the part number for the thermostat is 8334233950700 which is the replacement part for the original whose part number is/was 8334233950400. Again thanks for any help.

Yeah, I replaced the thermostat back in '07 with the part # in my previous post. It fixed the problem and is still working today. Took under 10 minuets to swap it out. Good luck.
I have a slightly different model that's freezing everything. Will the same thermostat work for this or do you know the right part number? Is it an easy repair? How can I find out how to replace it? thanks!!!!

Thanks! I got the part but I can't figure out how to replace it. There's a grommet not a screw holding it on. Do you know where I can get instructions? :-)

I'm afraid i don't. Sanyo isn't so popular of brand many people are likely to write about their experiences repairing them. I myself have only ever seen (but never repaired) 1 or maybe 2.
