I have a kennmore 70 series dryer that won't heat up or even stop at the end of the cycle. I've had the heating element checked and found that it is intact and has continuity. Wil you tell me what my apparent problem is?

** I have a kennmore 70 series dryer **

I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number ("70 Series" isn't it).

You can find tips for locating the model number identification tag on your appliances in the 'Repair Parts' section of my web site linked below.

** dryer that won't heat up **

If this is an electric dryer, you can read about the most common possibilities for that symptom at the following link:

- Can anybody tell me the most likely scenarios for lack of heat in an electric dryer?

Each possibility would have to be tested for one at a times until the cause in your case is found.

** won't heat up or even stop at the end of the cycle. **

So the timer advances right past the end of a cycle and starts the next one??
