I'm looking for a solution to my dryer vent hood being right behind my A/C unit outside. WHen the A/C was cleaned this weekend, the A/C man pointed out that the lint was being sucked into the coils by the fan and that it would pose a major problem. He didn't know of anything that I could buy to fix this problem, but I thought maybe there might be something I could put together to reroute it. Thanks to the advice from K2 in Misc. he told me to pose it to DanO. What do you think?

Rerouting the dryer vent is likely needed.

There are no 'put together' kits I know of that would allow you to accomplish it just on the outside. The best way would usually be to pick a different spot in the wall for it to go through and reroute the ducting inside (keeping it to a minimum).

- How long can my dryer vent be?
