I have the scoop end of a spoon caught in the "choppers" of a whirlaway 191 1/3 hp. I can't get it out. I can't figure out how to take it apart and it came with the house, so no instructions, the smell is getting bad, so I need this fixed asap.

I am not familiar with the construction of Whirlaway models. On In-Sink-Erator models there are special wrenches to take them apart although they can also be disassembled through brut force. The upper and lower half are press-fit together.

Maybe someone with experience working on Whirlaway models will drop by and offer a suggestion?

that is the reason i don't like the whirlaway disposers.

your best bet is to grab the spoon with a pair of vise grips or the like with one hand and try to rotate by prying the disposer in reverse from the top with a very large screwdriver to try and free the object.
