** maytag neptune washer **

I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number.

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:

- Model Number Tag Search

** displayed suds **

The cause of that should be obvious.

** displayed nd **

That should mean 'no drain'.

** it is throwing suds into the drum and not spinning properly tried washing with no clothes and everything ok **

How about WITH clothes but NO detergent?

Sudsing can cause both spinning and draining problems. To me it sounds like you may be using way too much detergent for water conditions... even if it might be HE detergent. (What exact brand BTW?)

After you've tried a full wash with NO detergent, if the washer DOES operate properly I suggest adjust the amount of detergent used downward to maybe to just a tablespoon worth.

BTW. If you're still seeing suds when washing with NO detergent at all, you may have to repeat it several times to get rid of any residual detergent buildup inside the machine. Doing hot water washes might help.

thank you for yur reply dan

the mod# isMAH8700AWW

the serial # is 15741421JC

I have tried to wash with clothes and no detergent and machine still throws suds back in I use gain he and oxydol he detergents the gain is 2x consentrated. it all started when I was using the gain detergent. some one told me to wash with cold water and that hot water will generate more suds. I looked in my manual and it said to do a load with no clothes and no detergent did this about 8 times

still having problem any suggestions will be helpful at this point.. also if i do not let the clothes spin and just drain with out spinning i do not have a problem just some water left at bottom of tub (i guess because it is not ringing the clothes out) it seems when the soap is comming back in sometimes i think that the soap is comming in from where the water enters at the start of a cycle but i really can not tell for sure because it is spinning so fast.

thank you again for your help

"Spinning" is responsible for removing water from the *clothing*, not the tub. The pump is responsible for that. Maybe the machine is not draining properly? That could result in your error messages. Check the drain hose for kinks, blockages in it, the pump and internal washer hoses.
