We have a Tappan 630 Series Double Oven, stainless steel. The 2 springs that hold the oven door closed have broken. Can anyone help me find this part?

The only way to trace it would usually be by supplying the unit's complete model number. I doubt "630" is all there is to it especially if that was written on the front of the appliance or in its owner's manual.
You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:

I understand that you need the complete model number. The oven is in my Aunt's house and has been since it was new. Amazingly, it still looks brand new, shiny stainless inside, even though she is a great cook. The problem is that because she has kept it so clean for almost 50 years, the model number is rubbed off. They have put a wooden shim at the top of the door to keep it closed. They have the piece but have not had any luck finding a replacement. I thought I'd try the internet for them. Do you have a model number?
** the model number is rubbed off. **
Unfortunately without a model number there is no way to look up what parts it is made up of to order replacements.
You can try taking the original springs to a local Frigidaire appliance parts depot (Frigidaire owns the Tappan brand) to see if they can match up something close from their stock but for such an old appliance there is only a slim chance of that I'm afraid.
You could also try browsing the photos at the following link to see if anything looks close. Do keep in mind that even springs of exactly the same size could have different tensions.
