Kirkland Signature/Whirlpool Side by side. My ice maker is working through the cycles but water is not getting into the back from the tube. I pulled off the back tube and it is bone dry, but water is still getting to on the door dispening. What else can I do to find out what the trouble is?

** Kirkland Signature/Whirlpool Side by side. **

I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number.

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:

- Model Number Tag Search

** the back tube and it is bone dry **

Are you referring to the tube that goes *through* the rear of the cabinet to the icemaker?

If so, there was no sign of ice blockage in it?

The clear tube that leads from the filter into the ice maker is dry. Model # ss25aexhw02 Serial s11533255. The filter needs to be changed so I think I will start there.

** The clear tube that leads from the filter into the ice maker is dry. **

If water is not getting past the filter to the icemaker, there may be a problem with the icemaker side of the water valve (see the following link) or the icemaker is just not energizing that valve... for whatever reason.

Will the icemaker harvest ice if you manually fill the ice cube mould with water? If it did it should at least indicate the icemaker is still being powered and should be capable of calling for a fill.

** The filter needs to be changed so I think I will start there. **

If it needs to be changed it definitely should be but it is not the cause of your complaint. If it was the problem causing the icemaker not to fill, the water dispenser wouldn't dispenser either. They both use the same filter.

JFYI
