Hi All,

Dryer stops working a few minutes after starting it. Very HOT inside. The problem exisits with automated programs and timed dry. Last month or so, they won't work either.

I've seen the previous postings about similar problems...but my model is 110.92822101. Does the E1 code for this model indicate possible open Thermistor?

It does. Are you getting that error code displaying??

It sounds like the dryer may not be venting properly. Has anyone checked and *thoroughly* cleaned the venting *all the way from the dryer to the outdoors* recently? It should be done several times a year as it can be a fire hazard (see the following link) as well as reducing the dryer's performance.

- How long can my dryer vent be?

Yes, error code E1 displays - NO, I have not done a complete cleaning of the vent in 5 years.

It is well overdue even if it doesn't happen to be the cause of any of your immediate symptoms.

Follow this link and follow the steps. It's very easy! I went to appliancezone.com, wrote down there price & called around for prices locally to me. They gave me the price of $32.99. I asked them if they price matched. They said they did. I ended up getting the thermistor for $18.14 plus tax and no shipping, just a little gas. Almost half off! I put it on tonite and it is working great!

Thanks to everyone's imput over the years. It saved me a lot of money and time. I have a dryer that works great and I did not have to buy a new one to get it. I did a little research, listened to you guys & did it myself. Thanks again!!!
