You helped me in 2006 with a "preheat" issue with this same electric range (see Oen Preheat—Kenmore Model #911.93578) and now I have another issue with this same range.
I thought I was imagining it but it appeared that perhaps the right front [high putput] burner was still on when in fact it was set to the 'OFF' position with the safety control "popped out". Still, I felt some heat. Either that or it was cooling down very slowly.
First up, have you ever heard of this type of behavior with an electric range? Secondly, if that's the case, is there an adjustment that can be made to the control to make certain where it "pops-out" is, in fact, the 'OFF' position? Or, lastly, do you recommend a total switch/control replacement?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
