GE - TFX27RLP
The icemaker just started producing very small ice cubes and not many of them.
I have turned the ice maker off and back on. I see the tray work to dump what is in the tray and we get water out of the door normally.
What troubleshooting can be done here?

** icemaker producing very small ice cubes and not many of them. **
That would usually mean the icemaker is not filling with enough water, most often cause by poor water pressure to the fridge.

Checking the water supply to the fridge should be first. Looking for a plugged sediment screen (if installed) where the water line attaches to the fridge's water valve would be #1. Checking for kinks in the water line # 2.
Next would be looking at the water valve on the house water pipe. If a 'self piercing' saddle valve was used (or any type of saddle valve mounted on the underside of a pipe), its aperture may now be restricted with lime and scale reducing water flow through it.
Only a drill type saddle valve should be used for a refrigerator's water supply (if not a regular plumbing valve) and only mounted on the top of a horizontal pipe or the side of a vertical pipe where it would be less susceptible to sediment accumulation.
Lastly, a problem in the fridge's water valve (see the following link) might be a slim possibility.
