** Whirlpool refridigator [et18nicxfw01]**

I'm afraid that model number is incorrect, can you double check it? The closest I found as et18nKxfw01

** leaks water [onto the floor] about once a week **

From where on the appliance?

The drain pan under the fridge could be cracked or overflowing, the refrigeration tubing that runs up the back of the cabinet could be frosting and then periodically melting or water could be pooling in the bottom of the fridge section and leaking out through the door.

If you have an icemaker installed, water could be leaking from any of the water supply lines.

Some investigation will be required to at least try to pinpoint the water's origin.
