I need to build a 7' by 7'6" pine garage door with windows that swing out. Or, I can order one to be built for me, but I can't seem to find anyone who builds doors that big.

1:Any suggestions of who can build a door like that?

2: Would it be better to just build it myself?

Any help would be appriciated!

Is this door supposed to raise up - or is it to be hinged on the side? Is the 7' number the height and the 7'6" number the width? Does it HAVE to have windows that open?
You need to provide more info. One suggestion: If this is to be a door that raises, you wouldn't want windows that open out. Sooner or later, they'll get crunched.

Sorry to be so breif, The door will hinge on the sides, and open outward. The windows don't need to open. The rough opening is 7' tall and 7' 6" wide, for 2-3'3" doors, or so.
It's a Garage converted into an art studio, but when the owner moves out, she wants turn back into a garage, so I can't shrink the opening.
Thanks again.

a swing out garage door is a carriage door. there are plenty of look a like carriage doors that roll up but there is a company that does nothing but swing out doors, large size. that is the Real Carriage Door Company which has a website or you can find them by googling them.

All interchangeable terms for a garage door that swings. Most manufacturers should be able to manufacture the door since it is under the 3'6" maximum width they deal with. 3' 6" is a std size, as well as 3' or 3/0 as it is called.

With that said though if you are interested in what manufacturers can't provide for carriage doors or a swing out door, take a look at to see all the high quality standards they build into their carriage doors.
