Same problem with the lower door. Upper door is fine. My serial number is 16044079GG.
I tried looking at the websites and it was pretty confusing for me (I'm not technically minded!)
Should I call a repair person or get a kit (and my husband can do the work! He's pretty handy.)

I'm sorry, I thought I was posting to a long thread of JennAir oven door complaints and questions.
My lower oven door won't shut all the way. We tried adjusting the hinges but it still doesn't shut. I've read about a "kit" for the hinges and the seal, but I didn't know if it would apply to my model of oven.
Am I making sense at all?

How exactly did you try 'adjusting' them? I wasn't aware the type of hinge used on your model had any kind of adjustment available. Usually if there was a problem with the hinge or hinge receptacle those parts would just be replaced.

Your model oven with serial number starting 16... should not require a kit to correct the hinges. If needed just the hinges and/or hinge receptacles should be all that was needed to be replaced.
The door seal would only need to be replaced if there was something wrong with the original. It isn't included in any oven door rework kit I'm aware of.
