Serial number - ML2901643
Unit run, heating up but then shuts down and give E1 error code. I saw this posted for other models and seems like i need to replace thermisatic??? Can u provide parts needed and some direction on replacement - i am somewhat handy and dont want to pay for repair man.

That is the error code of an open temperature thermistor. The thermistor being defective is the most common cause but could also be produced by a problem in its wiring or even a problem in the electronic control it is wired to but those are much rarer occurrences.

It is mounted on the dryer's blower housing. I can not tell you exactly how to go about replacing it but once the lower access panel is removed it should be fairly simple. If needed, the repair manual at the following link should cover the most common repairs on your dryer design.
