I have a GE XL44 Model JGBS23BEA2AD
Oven tkes a long time to light (appox 2 minutes or longer)
Ingitor bar is getting hot.
I tried to light it manually, did not help.
Any ideas?

That symptom could be caused by a defective ignitor or oven gas valve as explained at the following link. And yes, an ignitor can glow and still be defective.

The only way to tell which is responsible with certainty is the measure the amperage draw on the ignitor circuit while it's glowing but not lighting. A 'weak' ignitor is however the most common cause.

Such an ignition system can not be lit with a match. It is a safety feature that all parts of the ignition system must be functioning properly.
