Hi,

I have a Vacuflo® model 26 central vacuum cleaner system. I was thinking of replacing the entire 30' hose and attachments with a package deal from the manufacturer which will run me approximately $300. However, I received a brochure in the mail which illustrated these newer systems that are electrical.

What would it take to upgrade to this? My existing two outlets already show electric going to them to complete the circuit to power the suction motor in the main unit. Is this enough "juice" with which to convert this outlet to one of these newer electrical all-in-one outlets so that I may be able to upgrade to the newer electrical hose and accessories? Or does the entire wiring have to be upgraded? I can interchange the existing outlets but do not have the knowledge to upgrade the electric to these existing outlets if that's what needs to be done.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi,

I should've added that the side of the unit in the basement has the electrical schematic. I am not an expert in reading them but it shows 120VAC and then in only one spot "24VAC" if that helps anyone out in trying to solve this.

Thanks again,
