Help! My dryer has no heat! I have cleaned out all the lint. At random times I have had the "E1" message. Do I need to replace the Thermistor? If yes, how do I get off the oblong plate?
Thanks!

** kenmore 110.84832200 dryer no heat **
Not heating at all?
If so, the possibilities at the following link will likely need to be checked.
- Can anybody tell me the most likely scenarios for lack of heat in an electric dryer?

Maybe but only if an error message is present at this very time. Just it should not cause a no heat condition without an error message also being present (which would usually stop the whole dryer from operating).
