- My Gas Dyer Wont Heat Up Please Help
sometimes there is so much of a lint build up it restricts the airflow and blows out this little fuse in the back of the dryer because it gets too hot.
usually thats the first thing i check being how easy it is to test.
you need a continuity tester.

you need a continuity tester.
unplug dryer and there's a cover that you take off.

we tested it and got 4 ohms from the fuse what should we do now? what dose that mean is the fuse bad?
** we tested it and got 4 ohms **
It does not sound like you were testing it properly (see the following link). It should have zero ohms resistance (good) or infinite resistance (failed).

A more likely cause is a problem in the venting from the dryer *all the way to the outdoors*. It should be *thoroughly* inspected and cleaned as it could be a very real fire hazard! (see the following link)

A safety device opening is the first sign of a potential problem. With a gas dryer it is even more important to have it looked into thoroughly... NOW!
