make sure the condensor is clean and the fan that blows air over it is clean and running.
make sure the evaporator fan is running and you have good air flow into the freezer and into the fresh food compartment.
make sure the evaporator coil is not iced up.

If the compressor IS *definitely* running, cooling should be taking place or there is a problem with the cooling system.
You can read about common causes for cooling problems in frost free refrigerators at the following link. Each would have to be investigated one at a time until the cause in your case is found.

All the control should be responsible for is turning the compressor and fans on for cooling mode. If the compressor and fans were running it should be cooling or else there's a problem with the cooling system not the control.
If the freezer is just not getting *as cold as it should* (but still cooling), looking into a defrost problem or freezer fan motor operation as Larry suggested might be necessary.

The compressor is warm, so i assume it is running.
i had cleaned up all of the dusts from the machine as well that did not seem to fix the problem.

As long as the compressor is being powered it will likely feel warm to the touch. But that doesn't necessarily mean it is running.
